Technology keeps progressing. This might be the way we deliver things or spy in the future.
I suspect we’ll use winged insectoid bots for spying as they might pass entirely undetected. As for deliveries, Amazon has already announced plans to go quadrocopter at some point in the distant post-present. ๐
I think these would make cool watch doggies though, just add some A.I. and fangs! (aka, a tazer) ๐
Adam Savage can make anything sound like the coolest thing ever. His enthusiasm for everything he’s involved in just makes me smile.

I miss keeping spiders..
But that always led me to keep more dangerous critters and till I have proper enclosed habitats that’s just not an option.
Now who’s buying me the robot spider for Christmas?? ๐

There is something to be said for a freaky, hobbit sized pepper pot yelling, “EX-TER-MIN-ATE” in the voice of guy that got his knackers squeezed in a vice! ๐ A single spider-bot is merely cute but I’d mess myself bad if I was suddenly faced with a few hundred of them all scurrying towards me!
I’ve no problem with spider robots as they tend to move more like crabs. The creepily slow forward motion of a spider leg is what gets me and the robots don’t have that.
Slow-mo spiders? I think they’re just frozen then. Try heating the place up a bit and they’ll return to normal speed! ๐
