I must admit to being a tad curious what name they would think up for Ubuntu 12.10
Quantal Quetzal is certainly unique! 🙄 .If you're wondering what a Quetzal is, it's a bird. :faint: .
Thank you for clearing up the controversy over the name!
Okay, thanks. 🙂
 I thought 12.04 was precise pangolin.

Exactly 😉 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_(operating_system)#ReleasesI have used LTS versions, and just realized there is this 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin now available :up:And what puzzles me is what they will do once they reach Z.
The only Ubuntu distro I've managed to update from Ludic Lynx without a hitch …… at which point I promptly made it look and work like Gnome again. 😆
Actually, Maverick Meerkat was the Last Ubuntu release I used! I now use Crunchbang instead! .I'm also about to install Fedora Lxde. (which I've just finished downloading! :hat: .

I just updated to Pangolin last night. 😆 So far I've managed to not have issues when upgrading. Hopefully I never do! 😀

I hope so too! But I know from experience that the least painful way to upgrade is to do a fresh install! .Especially if you're like me and use software that is not part of the standard distribution!!!:doh::p .
