Oh, God, yessss! I know exactly how you feel! If I had a better connection, it'd be different. With all the errors I get, sometimes it's all I can do to stay on as long as I do…
It took me 5 minutes to post that.^Every time I hit "done" the signal strength meter would go to 1 bar. Opera mobile shows "connecting" but it won't, it'll just run the battery down. :irked:
And I start getting anxious when I have a second page :faint:
Same here! π That, plus keeping track of news though RSS feeds. Sometimes those feeds pile-up to great numbers if I'm not using the computer for a day or two. :insane:
The Bongo Drums are busted and we're using smoke signals for internet connection at the moment! :irked: .Originally posted by billsofat:
I don't know. I use opera mini on my iPod and it works fine for all of my posts
But that's connecting through your WiFi router via fibre optic cable. That's about a Kazillion bytes per second! Dennis and I are using GSM and/or 3G (when available). And my GSM/3G is via MTN's Bongo Drums, which are broken at the moment! :awww: .
I've tried to subscribe to every interesting blog, but it seems like they usually write posts too often
Also I have found that rather problematic π If someone has 10 new posts sent during last weekend, I usually just read the last one. Unless I see very interesting title/topic there. And for the same reason I avoid posting too often.
I'm subscribed only to my friends blogs, I've tried to subscribe to every interesting blog, but it seems like they usually write posts too often so I've quit on doing that…
the most annoying ones are those that write 30 posts a month, all on the same day! :irked: .And thanks to Murphy's Law, everyone who does that chooses the same day to do it on! :insane: .

Obviously there is place for information retrieval and some recommendation system that picks only most interesting articles for you to read, if any… π
*chants: Push the button, qlue! Push the button, qlue!*I've had some instances of notifications piling up, giving me bad conscience… I've found looking through them and only commenting on some of them helps me catch up.
I'm way too curious to push that button. That doesn't mean I'm reading everything, though, and I do not mind if people suddenly can't keep up. :shrugs:
I once felt really overwhelmed but got over it by pushing the button, making a post and then just visiting those people that commented. :p Go on…. you can do it!!!
With my VERY speed-challenged Internet Connection, I hadn't immediately seen the image in your Post, Aadil.WHOA! 567 subscriptions? :yikes:In that event, the Mark All Read Button isn't tempting. It is mandatory. It reminds me of about 2 years ago when I was in this AOL E-mail Loop. Some of those people started using the E-mail instead of the Message Board. It got to the point where I couldn't seem to keep my E-mail Inbox below 50 … 100 … 300 E-mails. WTF? So, I just started mass deleting daily. After a couple of overt "Go use the Message Board" Heads Ups didn't seem to faze them, I started flat out no longer replying to ANY of them at all. After 2 years, I think they got the hint. I haven't gotten anymore E-mails from that loop.
I haven't had to tweak or overhaul Linux for over a year now! :left: .And last time I did it was a minor change! .I have been wasting my time reading books though! It's amazing how many good novels you can download illegally get online! .
 ditto :pAlthough I've noticed ones fancy changes continually as I'm into apps once again though there's some 5 or 6 books just begging to be read.
You think my posts are not interesting to you? And comments? :irked::P π

Just like fast food, briefly enjoyable but lacking in content π
I don't know. I use opera mini on my iPod and it works fine for all of my posts

His name is Winston! π .Welcome to South Africa! .
 π
The pigeon won! Excellent π
Do you subscribe to every single blog you visit :eyes:
Yes. Don't you? :whistle::p
I do, that way I know if anything new has happened
Did it recently. There's sometimes no time/inclination to check everything. If people don't understand it… tough.
That is why I like social media π There is always "someone else" who can cover my absence every now and then.

I subscribe to all my friends blogs plus a few others. Am I stupid in reading every post that shows up on my subscriptions page?
One does not simply Mark All As Read to Mordor. :irked:
I rarely get more than 30 things to look at, much more would be too much I think

Do it, Aadil. Push the Button. Then blame it on global warming or on el NiΓ±o.Or better yet, blame it on an Opera glitch. :pirate:

Or … another thing that could conceivably be causing you to get behind is all that time wasted in having to tweak and overhaul Linux.
