First (readable) spam of 2012
by subacati
Most of the spam I receive seems to be in Chinese lately. But here is the first readable spam letter I received this year! π .
Clearly, British banks hire people who cannot read and write in English! . …
Dear Friend,
Hello my dear friend, i am writing to seek your co-operation over this business, please due welcome this letter. Although, i know you might be skeptical about this letter because you've been getting a lot them from different people and globe but be rest assured that i give you my word based on the fact and sincerity of this proposal. Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Kyle Harris the Accounts Director of a reputable bank in London.
My reason of contacting you is to disclose to you a business deal which has to do with a very huge amount of money, i do not know you and you also don't know me but we believe there are still a lot of genuine deals that has been initiated and executed successfully online by most opportunist. it might interest you to know that i have been investigating and making research particularly about an account in my department that has been UN-operational for over six years. But at this moment, I'm restrained to issue more details about this profitable business investment until i get your response by mail.
Kindly respond effectively and positively to this proposal and i will feed you with more details of the business as soon as you indicate your interest in participating in this project with your complete contact information. Also note that your share in this deal is 50% .
I solicit your mutual response towards this proposal.
Best regards,
Hmmm. Seems legit π
I just hope you won't be banned again π
Oh my. It's even sanctioned by the UN!
Reputable bank? Someone doesn't watch the news… If he wanted money he should've asked for it to protest against banks.
@Hungry, that is the spammer's bad attempt at English. :p .@Mik. Some people stilll consider British banks to be "reputable" .@Darko. :insane: . @FlaRin. That's only because they haven't given details of the crimes they want you to commit on their behalf yet. :p .
50%, you have got it made
After those riots I doubt anyone is left in the world that finds British anything reputable. Hell, the vision the rest of the world had of this as a sleepy isle full of vicars walking across bowling greens has been well and truly shattered by that.
Sleepy Isle full of Vicars? :lol:Sleepy Isle full of McVicars, more like π
people have already forgotten most of the significant events of 2011. (around here at least)let's recap the things people forgot.Japan's earthquake. The tsunami that resulted and the nuclear disaster that followed.Egypt and various other similar incidents. Some of these things are still ongoing yet the mainstream media has stopped reporting about it. (or they bury the stories on page 56 under the photo of the woman who was abducted by aliens π )Thailand's flooding. (never even made it into the news here in South Africa.)there's others, but these event are quite important events that nobody around me seems to remember. It's kind of like that episode of Doctor Who when The Doctor suddenly realises that people keep forgetting major events as if they never happened. :insane: .The London riots were also too short lived to become a major or significant event outside of England. :awww: .
I think this would be the most effective response.

You see, there is a good use for this spam. It's got us talking about world events and current affairs, anyway!
I never get those spams from "banks" and similar, my first spam I've got in the year 2012 was :"Christmas is-cominng BUY NOW VIAGRA CIALIS !!!", my last one was similar only without Christmas π
I have so few spam mails that I actually now look forward to them, probably because i don't get much other mail either :awww:
